Start with an official baseline
Our 2026/27 baseline uses USDA PSD and WASDE data released on Sep 11, 2026. All map volumes are in million metric tonnes. Monthly revisions compare two official releases and are already reflected in the baseline.
News is evidence, not a new crop estimate
Reviewed official releases and reported headlines are labelled separately. Reported signals are assigned countries and themes from their text. This process can miss context or make mistakes; source verification remains essential. Sources are credited, and full articles are not republished.
A transport interruption can reduce export availability without reducing the harvest. Rain can improve yield but delay harvest or damage quality. We do not convert headlines into a precise tonnage loss without a defensible estimate.
Information aggregation and comparison
Pro brings together complete news coverage, original source links, official supply data and historical comparisons. Wheats does not generate bullish or bearish ratings, buy or sell recommendations, price targets or investment strategies.
Supply scenarios use your assumptions: production × affected share × yield change. Probability-weighted effects additionally multiply by your assumed probability. The calculation holds planted area constant and does not model overlapping risks or trade substitution.
A measured publishing rhythm
Briefings are scheduled for 08:00 and 20:00 Europe/Berlin, including daylight-saving adjustments. Publication and source timestamps are displayed separately. Source interruptions can delay an edition; a repeated source is not new evidence.
Coverage & geography
European Union is reported as one region. China combines the separately published China, Taiwan and Hong Kong series. Global totals include all source reporting regions, including those too small to draw. USDA reports the European Union as one supply region. China includes separately reported Taiwan and Hong Kong series; a comparable monthly revision for this combined area is not supplied. Blank map values mean that no source estimate is available, not zero production. Boundaries use Natural Earth geometry.
